RESTAURANTS IN OUR AREA
"The Pear" as the locals call it has fabulous soup, sandwiches, pizza, crab cakes, and salads. Chef-owned, it's a perfect spot for a romantic hill country dinner. It’s probably our favorite restaurant in all of Wimberley.
Community has fantastic pizza, a great outdoor seating area and a huge selection of local beers on tap. Don't miss the pineapple margarita! Community is really popular these days, so get there, get your name on the list, and have a drink on the porch while you wait for a table!
This is one of our favorite places to pick up appetizers, local sauces and local wine. They always have samples, so it’s fun even if you don’t buy anything. They also have a bar for wine flight tastings, beer flight tastings, or frozen margaritas + gourmet sandwiches as well.
Hildees Texas Dine-In is opening in early 2022. The menu will focus on Hill Country and Southern dishes, with heavy use of the smokehouse. This means chicken-fried venison served with sawmill sauce; smoked salmon with black pepper and potato muffin and caviar. Local wine and beers on tap.
From the artfully renovated, intimate main dining room and relaxing outdoor decks to the delicious rustic French-inspired Bistro fare and thoughtfully selected wine list, every aspect has been tailored to fulfill the highest expectations of those who wish to enjoy finely prepared dishes amidst the charm of Texas Hill Country.
One of the most popular joints around here, HCS has a large menu of burgers, sandwiches, salads, steak, pizza and nachos. They make a killer Ranch Water or a flight of margaritas, and they often have live music out under the oak trees. HCS gets really crowded on the weekends, so go early!
Breakfast, lunch or dinner the Wimberley Cafe is old school awesome. We love the breakfast tacos and migas, but they make a pretty mean chicken friend steak, chicken and waffles and fluffy pancakes. Come with a big appetite!
Creekhouse is a laid-back, modern restaurant and bar just off the Square. Beneath the trees and overlooking Cypress Creek, they serve classic Texas fare with a sophisticated twist. They offer a wide selection of Texas-brewed beers, fine wines, and artfully crafted cocktails. Try the hibiscus margarita!
Arguably the best burgers in town, these mouthwatering beauties are on the "far" side of town, across from Wimberley Gardens. They also make their own special sauce and homemade chips, so don't forget to check out ALL the add-ons to your burger!
Longleaf has THE BEST cocktails. The menu is small and a bit odd, but the fried olives, deviled eggs with oysters (!) and the cocktails are all you need. They have a fabulous bar area that is cozy in the winter or in nice weather, you can wander outside to catch live music at their outdoor garden area behind the building.
Enjoy Roosevelt Supper Club – where the ritual of dining is truly celebrated and you belong. Enter nostalgia, where Supper Clubs have long been celebrated as an American tradition, a place where a finely cooked meal, complemented by a stiff drink in a warm atmosphere, is the highlight of your weekly regimen.
Tucked away on the back side of the square, Social On the Square serves up a rotating menu of local wine, beer & bubbly. Outdoor seating, music on the weekends, Social is a great place to have a drink while you wait for your table at one of our local restaurants.
For an espresso or chai latte, check out our friends at Sip On the Square. We go there daily! Also, fun fact, if the line is super long at Wimberley Cafe, download the "Toast" app and order your coffee and Wimberley Cafe breakfast online. You can sit outside at Sip while you wait for your food.
Blanco Brew serves up custom Espresso Blend in a Latte or Cappuccino. They rotate the countries of origin to keep the flavors fresh, but you can always be sure to find the House Guatemalan. Also, find freshly-baked pastries, croissants, and muffins each morning.
A local favorite for vegan & GF waffles, hot herbal teas, amazing coffee and the friendliest baristas. Sweet & savory "puffles" are not to be missed!
